Our server Kaitlyn on 12/6 was so sweet! Our food was perfect and she was correct, we did love the cinnamon rolls. I highly recommend coming here! It’s our new favorite when we come to KC! I can’t wait to come again soon. I loved the atmosphere, it was so cozy and warm. It smelled soooo good! We ordered our cinnamon rolls to go & waited 15 mins just to get them fresh. Delicious!! They do have shirts, I think the long sleeve was $22, I can’t remember the short sleeve but I’ll definitely be buying a shirt when I come back!!
My absolute favorite place to get a home cooked meal!. This place is a 10/10 in every sense of the word!. From the old school decore, to the little diner bar set up, the fresh baked pies and cinnamon rolls to the old school home cooked meals. I mean it really doesn’t get any better than this!. Do not! miss out on their crispy fried chicken with the mashed potatoes and gravy with the side of spicy apples!!! Absolutely amazing!! I also tried the peach cream soda drink and that was heavenly (not that I’m surprised at this point). My happy place!
Bean here so many times. Our typical Sunday morning breakfast with my mother in law who loved the cinnamon rolls and blueberry muffins. Sometimes you wait a while.. but once you get your seat the food comes out quickly and service is great! It’s also nice to order for take out we love the soup and meatloaf specials in Mondays!
I LOVE this cafe!!! The food was delicious and the service was amazing!! Oh, and don’t forget the desserts!! They have the most welcoming and inviting environment and decorations. I highly recommend this family friendly and comforting restaurant!! Handicap parking and accessible.
Came here at 7 am on a Saturday and I was greeted by the sweetest server ever. We had a short great conversation too. The entire establishment was clean and I was impressed with how good the food was here. I also grabbed some of their cinnamon rolls since they looked really good. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
I was in town checking out KCU medical school with my son and we were driving around looking for housing. We googled breakfast places and it was at the top of the list. They were correct. Big portions, good homestyle food. Good prices, and a great bakery.
Visiting this area this week. I can already tell you I will definitely go back again for a second time before I go back home. It’s right on the corner just like the name says. It’s got ample parking and you walk inside. It’s full of nostalgia. The bakery is right there when you walk in with showcase of beautiful pies Since I was single diner, I went to the back of the restaurant where the counter is and had a great experience. Today is Monday so I had the special roast pork tenderloin over stuffing and then for my sides I chose spiced apples and mashed potatoes. They had pork gravy poured over the mashed potatoes, pork loin, and dressing. The pork loin was so tender and juicy. It was perfect. They also serve a large roll with the meal, which was so good. The spiced apples were a perfect addition to go with the pork. The mashed potatoes. Are just like homemade along with the stuffing too. I have no complaints although I didn’t have room for dessert I had overheard people talking about their famous cinnamon rolls so I ordered one to have for breakfast at the hotel. When I got back to the hotel and looked at it. I couldn’t believe how huge it was. it’s enough for two or three days and I bet it is as tasty as it looks. I am sure all the locals know about this place. If they haven’t been there, they need to go and anybody visiting the area. There are hotels that are not even a mile and a half away a great place to go for a meal. Also, it’s not far off interstate.
Visited for breakfast! Man, that cinnamon roll was delicious! Nice & fluffy with the perfect amount of icing on top! Yummy & warm! Meat lovers' omelette was delicious as well to go with has browns! The corner special was good as well! Portions were good size! No wait! Friendly service as well!
